8:30 am     Attendees begin to arrive and meet with vendors – Continental Breakfast in Skyline Ballroom

9:30 am     Welcome Opening Remarks – Justin Rose, President VWA

9:35 am     "It's A Matter of Taste!"  It's not just simply how your wine tastes or looks that's the deciding factor on if one decides to purchase - it's about the entirety of the tasting room experience.  From your tasting room lay out, to your tasting and tour options, to staff training and salesmanship, all of these factor into creating your unique tasting room experience. Join your colleagues for an in-depth discussion around the tasting room and let's work together to create the best possible tasting room experience for you and your guests.

1:30 pm     "Let's Take this Show on the Road" Join your fellow VA wine colleagues in an interesting discussion about on and off-site events and other creative experiential marketing tactics.  From winery concerts, to out-of-state festivals and culinary events, learn why and how some of your VA wine friends participate in and create these special events!

12:45 pm    Technical Block – Hear from Academics from VA Tech and Brock University and others on the latest Enology studies, research, and findings with a special focus on Cab Franc and Chardonnay.

Overnight Stays - Reduced room and condo rates have been secured for conference attendees. Reservations can be made directly through the Wintergreen Resort Reservations toll-free number, 1-800-611-6888. Please ask for the Group Reservations Department, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 9:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.  Reference the VWA Annual Meeting when booking. Rooms must be booked by October 31, 2017. Bring the whole family to stay, since the VWA special rate is available for 2 days before and after the event (based on availability).
